Adela Talpes

I started to press flowers almost 30 years ago for a herbarium as a school project. I continued by arranging pressed flowers in an artistic way on cards and 9 years ago I started to make big artworks. I learned the flower pressing and arranging techniques by myself, experimenting over the years.

My horizon expanded a lot after 2000, when I had the chance to see on the internet the big potential of pressed flowers. In 2005 I joined the Pressed flower Group on Yahoo and five years later I became a WWPFG member, a big honor, a new step forward and a huge chance to learn further and to meet other flower artists. I’m proud to say that in 2011 I was awarded with the Honorable mention at the WWPFG Conference Competition for the landscape “Autumn in the Mirror.”

I currently teach classes and creative workshops for children and adults in Romania, to make known the beauty and benefits of practicing this beautiful art. Two years ago I also started to teach classes for WWPFG students. My website is www.floripresate.ro
